Birds and Freedom

Birds and Freedom

A Poem by John Anderson

Over the top of the trees and the tall buildings,
The floating clouds of orange and grey colours,
Dawn dapples through to break another day!

The birds and squirrels here and there
Chirping, cuckooing and squeaking,
Above and below move, jump and fly!

Freedom is the birth right only to them!
No restrictions there in their freedom;
The happy state of life to dream about!

The Sun rises and sets to give life and light;
The divine animal, cow gives milk for everyone;
Likewise many living beings do many things

Man has the choice to contribute better;
But don't know when that day will dawn,
When like birds all can fly in freedom!

What a beautiful wishful thinking. Probably the men should return back to the time before it first started using its brain to pursue greed. I enjoyed your writing John. Very close to nature, I assume you wrote while being there.

A new world my friend.
"Man has the choice to contribute better;
But don't know when that day will dawn,
When like birds all can fly in freedom!"
Kids today. Don't know the cost of freedom. Give it up without a fight. A once free bird locked-up will die. A lock-up mind can't see the freedom they never knew. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
