A Poem by John Anderson

Listening
to the
stillness grow,
thunder distant
rumbles low,
raindrops fall
from heavy skies,
wiping sleep
from mornings eyes,
a passing burst
as sun breaks through,
a freshness filled
with life anew.

I like this. Simple imagery, combined with a touch of emotion to finish it off.

A very touching write indeed from a skillful pen.

I was transported to this very moment. A calm before the storm. Thank you, John!
