wave, grin

wave, grin

A Poem by John Anderson

"I wish I had not" just can't apply
there's no going back for a laugh or a cry
from infancy til the day that I die
this life goes in just one direction

Even the tiniest change would have caused
a whole different outcome, life can't be paused
or rewound, started over correcting the flaws
I move forward in quiet reflection

I realize the beauty of the poem is in it's meaning. It holds great depth. You conveyed it well;)

We can't change the past and perhaps things turn out how they are supposed to.Really great write John :)

This is so true. To go back and change the past is to rewind the present.

This is how I felt when I wrote 'the moment...'
It's a one way street. Great poem John.
I really connected with this one.
I liked the rhyme too. I'm a fan of rhyme as you know.
