Let God Love

Let God Love

A Poem by John Anderson

I don't swim with shallow loves -
won't fake love and neglect
I give benefit of doubt
before my heart rejects

I hate to upset anyone -
with bitter, won't infect
not into biology -
no one, will I dissect

I try to love with all my heart -
sincerely, I reflect
I am not a Love 'expert' -
not my place to correct

Got no master's degree in Love -
not fit to Love inspect
if running for Love's Hall of Fame,
let someone else elect

Won't be the one to pick and chose -
let Renowned Love select
the Holy Father loves enough -
to Him, Love acts, erect

There, alone, is just one Lord -
up to Him to perfect
let His Love finish His Work -
it's God Who resurrects

I like your mindset here John. You pen humility and show the true source of all LOVE.

A beautiful and hopeful poem. I believe in the golden rules. Lead with kindness and love. No perfect person. Just people trying to live and survive. I believe we need to slow down and look for the good also. The poem open the door to a pot of coffee and a long conversation. God gave us free-will. We need to pick the good road. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.
