Sleeping with Me

Sleeping with Me

A Poem by John Anderson

I will sleep tonight,
deeply within you,
sweet angel.

I shall sleep tonight,
  accosted by demons,
sweet devil.

I am sleeping tonight,
dreams do not disturb this
sweet rhythm.

I am a bodily whole,
a perfection of myself ,
sweet maker.

Tomorrow, awake,
I will dream of you,
sweet lover.

So romantic! I love the progression of each stanza from anticipation to fond remembrance.
