He Reads A Poem

He Reads A Poem

A Poem by John

In each poem that will be
Please let her be the only she
And I the often unsaid him,
Bound within the papers trim.
And with each careful stroke and fray,
Let us act out the words at play.
Beauty drawn and passion writ,
Self in stanza must permit
That she and him, masked in ink,
Dance within the eye that blinks.
