Red

Red

A Poem by Johannah

Staring at nothingness

I then looked at my hands

It's a dark shade of red

my insides are churning

and my soul wants to escape

What have you done?

What went wrong?

The voices in my head are shouting

I can barely hear myself

I saw a reflection of me

with a lopsided grin

a dagger at hand

the roses are everywhere

Tears kept coming

the voices are not stopping

Footsteps could be heard

louder and louder

and then it stopped

BANG!

Everything is pitch black

the soul soon escaped

free at last

looking down, it saw

me and her

in a sea of roses with a scent of iron.

Thanks for the feedback :)
I like how it implies what you did but doesn't say directly. Also good imagery
