A Vampire's Seduction: Part 1A Chapter by Johanna ScarletIt
was the dead of the night. Not a soul in sight. Though five minutes ago there
had been an unlucky individual. He dropped to the floor with a dull thud, his
eyes unblinking and void. A lean figure stood beside the body in the dark
alley. She took out a round, compact mirror and flipped it open. With her
finger tips, she dabbed away the blood at the corner of her lips. After
checking her sharp fangs, she snapped the mirror shut and placed it back in her
small, black clutch.
The skinny,
grown man had not been enough to satisfy her appetite. He had just been a quick
fix to her thirst. There had been no thrill of a hunt and the chase was the
best part.
She
knew the perfect place to go at 2am on a Monday in this town. There was a
biker’s bar she discovered the last time she dropped by this small town. It was
right at the border to the next town in the east.
Violet,
her name was, smirked, stepping over the body without much thought. There would
be a cleanup crew later to deal with it.
She
swung the double metal doors open. Everyone in the bar stopped what they were
doing to focus on the entrance. Thinking it was the cops, they prepared to
stand, but they were surprised by a tall, petite woman in a tight black top,
dark blue jeans and stilettos. The entire room was in silence, besides the soft
rock music playing in the background.
The
men’s faces turned from surprise to curiosity to lust. She smirked as she watched
the different emotions play on their faces while making her way down the center
of the room. A bald man with tattoos covering his head dropped his cue as she
sauntered by. A man in a thick leather jacket had been in the middle of
drinking his beer but stopped, holding the mug in the air, watching her.
Another in the same jacket had his jaw dropped to the floor.
While
the big, bad, horny men were collecting themselves, Violet looked around for
potential targets. She was never disappointed when she came here. Despite the
fact that she’d only been here two other times, both times left her satisfied
for months.
Tonight,
only one man really caught her attention. He looked completely out of his
comfort zone. He wore a cheap grey suit and sat at the corner of the bar in the
back alone. Everyone else were in jeans, leather jackets, and graphic t’s.
Violet wasn’t sure what to make of him. She could only see his back. He looked
lean, unlike the muscular men populating the biker’s bar. She’d call him David
until she learned his actual name. David sounded like a sensible name
All
eyes stayed on her as she continued her way to the long bar at the back. The
bartender gave her a knowing nod.
She
took a seat beside the man in the suit, David.
“It’s good to see you again, Keith.”
“Are
you here to cause more trouble again?”
She
brought up her hand, pushing her index finger and thumb together leaving a
small gap. “Just a little bit,” she smiled.
“What
can I get for you to drink?” He took out a glass, already knowing what she
wanted.
“Are
you on the menu?”
He
smiled, already pouring her usual whisky into the glass. “Not today,” he
winked, placing the drink in front of her. “Don’t make a mess in my bar.” He
narrowed his eyes at her playfully before walking to the other side of the bar
to serve a tattoo covered man a drink.
It
did not escape Violet’s attention that David did not once look up from his
beer. Not even when she spoke did it draw him out from whatever dream land he
was in.
She
had pictured him as a scrawny, nerdy guy. But he turned out to be quite
impressive. His muscles filled his suit nicely. His handsome face was nothing
she’d ever encountered in a human man. He was perfect. Strong jaw, straight
nose, sharp eyes and soft, pink lips. She watched him as she slowly enjoyed her
drink. He hadn’t moved from the five minutes she’d been observing him. He
didn’t even blink once. If it wasn’t for the beat of his heart, she would have
thought he was dead. She never knew a human could be so still.
Violet
couldn’t understand how the measly human was able to resist her presence. She
was sitting right beside him releasing an aura humans were naturally drawn to.
She
turned in her seat to face David. She placed her hand on his arm, rubbing it
firmly back and forth. “What brings you out here?”
He
finally looked up at her. She was met by the darkest shade of eyes she’d ever
seen. The dim lighting enhanced the darkness of his eyes. She found it sexy,
mysterious.
David
moved his arm away from her touch. “Having a drink,” he replied simply. His
voice void of any emotion.
“You’re
alone. I’m alone. We could keep each other company.”
“No,
thank you.” He turned away from her and took a large gulp of his beer.
Violet
placed her hand on his upper thigh. “I don’t think you understood what I really
meant.” Her hand slowly made its way up his thigh. She felt him twitch as she
got close to his manhood. She smirked. Gotcha.
He
froze. His drink against his lips.
She
watched his Adam’s apple bob up and down. “We can leave now if you like,” she leaned
forward and whispered by his ear, deliberately grazing her lips against his
ear.
Suddenly,
her hand was tugged away. She found herself being pulled up against a large,
bulky man. He reeked of booze and had a strange musky scent.
He
got right in her face as he whispered, “I can satisfy you better than that
little s**t.”
Violet
smiled up at him. “I’ve got better things to do. Like teach the little s**t what I can do to him,” she
whispered back.
He
held her tighter, thrusting his hips into her.
“Leave,”
she commanded.
“Another
time then.” He walked away, not before turning back and winking at her.
She
sat back down on her seat beside David. Except he wasn’t there any longer. She
looked around for David. However, he seemed to have left. She didn’t even hear
him get up.
She
finished the rest of her drink in one gulp and headed out the bar. She tried to
track his scent, remembering it as a mixture of cedar and a hint of wild
flowers. The smell of diesel, cigarettes and beer hung heavily in the air.
Other than that, she couldn’t make out his distinct scent.
Violet
narrowed her eyes up and down the empty road, hoping for a sign or any clue
that could lead her to him.
How very strange.
She
walked back into the bar. The bulky man from before approached her.
“I
guess you’re going home with me tonight.”
“I
don’t think so,” she snapped and pushed him aside, then went back to sit at the
bar. She ordered another whisky and chugged it down. Then she ordered a beer.
Ten
minutes later another bulky man approached her. This one had a full beard. She
dismissed him away with her hand. For the next half an hour, men kept approaching.
As she thought back to David, she heard murmurs in the background. The patrons
were planning their attacks. She smirked. At least her night was looking up.
“Keith,”
she called for the bartender.
He
had her attention immediately. “How can I help you?”
“The
man that was sitting here. Does he come here often?”
“Lately,
I’ve been seeing him around every night around this time. Do you know him?”
“No,
but I will.”
She
turned around on her stool. Two men stood before her.
