Last TrainA Poem by JohannaJust wrote this.. a story as well as a poem I guessYou came with the last train Suitcase packed so it would barely close I was waiting on the platform when you came With dust from the road all over your clothes
We walked side by side on the sidewalk Your arm around me so I wouldn´t be cold I showed you around my block and we talked about being young and growing old
You held me when my father passed In the cold winter you were my backbone For some weeks there I lived in the past I didn´t want to be with you or alone
The storm in me grew more calm But between us still so many clouds I asked you what was going on You didn´t know what I was talking about
You changed right before my eyes and I couldn´t tell if I was to blame but I now it´s you who should apologize I saw you with her though I don´t know her name
The castle we´d built came crashing down and we had a big fight in the lane Brokenhearted I told you to leave town and you left with the last train
