Should I forget about the world

Sad poem I wrote.. if you lose hope in yourself, remember there is always someone who loves you

Should I just forget about the world

Like it forgets about me

What is this illusion

of being free

When we make the same mistakes

because we never learn

Trapped by our human ways

Sleepwalking until we're wide awake

because we crashed and burned

The mind keeps believing what isn´t true

and words fall flat when there´s nothing left

so we try to make peace with bullets

Should I just forget about the world

I feel so alone down here

Am I already forgotten?

Cause who is left to care

When everyone´s got a scar in their heart

and enough problems of their own

Should I just forget about the world

since it left me here alone

well that was worth the wait Johanna, a truly remarkable poem, the hurt in here and the sense of despair is something you can feel but its worth remembering that life can give us hope and bring us back from the brink, this is a poem beyond compare, bravo :)

[Not Your Typical New Yo..]

I've been there before. I wonder what is my purpose to this world, wonder if I'm good enough, etc. You feel so alone at times, and you think you're the only human being on this planet that feels this way...then you read someone else's work about these emotions and you realize they're feeling the same way you are. And sometimes you realize that others have it way worse than you do, but they're staying strong. Great write.

wow, that was so true and real, since life is being more self centered and people no more care about each other, every one calls his own name, and so the best way to feel good is to care after your self, and your poem express it very well, i loved it .. and hehe we are the same age almost, o we have nearly the same taste, as i read here, so yeah you are very welcomed my friend :)) with love:me :D
