Wrote this after visiting an old relative.. Simple, but hope you like it.
Regret
These past couple of days have been so strange I don´t know what, but something has changed You say that the years have left their mark And the heart that once was light is growing dark
These past couple of days have been so bleak Mind so strong, bones so weak Time has passed with every heartbeat Pain so bitter, memories so sweet
These past couple of days have passed in a blur You look back and see that nothing is as it were Your growing older, and you wish you told her But now the past is set
These past couple of days have been so stange All that remains is regret
My favorite lines:
"These past couple of days have been so bleak
Mind so strong, bones so weak
Time has passed with every heartbeat
Pain so bitter, memories so sweet"
Yet somehow I cant help but ask what was it that you regret?

Oh my, I think you were being humble when reviewing my poem. Such a lovely style in a poem saying so much. You have the depth and quality of a true poet. Lovely!

Thankyou :) Will be reading more of your work as well! Looking forward to it :)
This piece managed to somehow remind me of my Grandfather, who has since passed away.
"These past couple of days have been so bleak
Mind so strong, bones so weak"
I can imagine him, lying on his bed while I'm reading. And yet, what remains now are memories of him and not having met him one last time. This is very relatable and something we all must go through at least once in our lives. And you capture this moment beautifully with your words. Thank you, for remiding me :)

I´m sorry he passed, but I do hope you have good memories :)
Glad you remind you, thankyou
O' Miss Norway, now you really made me emotional through your beautiful deep words. Yes, with the time, we all go older so, we every time wish to stay young (so that we could easily attract more beautiful angels, Kidding) but time never awaits for us. "It kills life if we kill our time!" so, i'd want to say that we all gotta live with the time, no matter how bad or good a time is, what we all should do is "Living the life with the time" because once the time gone, it comes never back in the life.
You know what, Miss Universe, I really loved this one stanza
"These past couple of days have been so bleak
Mind so strong, bones so weak
Time has passed with every heartbeat
Pain so bitter, memories so sweet"
Past always makes us emotional. Past's been a roadblock and a master piece of art as well. It's a roadblock because it always stops us doing what we want to do...if the present's not good than past then it's nothing to live anymore happily. And it's a master piece of art because it's our past that teaches us...that teaches us how to walk on the pavements on present and how to make a future bright to not making again same mistakes what we've already done in a past. So, i'd say, "Your still as beautiful as marvelous as gorgeous as nice as pretty as little pretty tweety as amazing as before."
So, stay always beautiful, a most beautiful girl of the world! :)
Keep on! Keep writing always, beautiful!
These past couple of days have been so stange
All that remains is regret
A perfect end to a gloomy write that wished to remain unending . Good one :)

Your words are beautiful, just as your soul is. A lot of people tell me I have a lot of talent when It comes to writing, but I think you are much greater than I. Be proud of yourself Johanna, you definitely have more than one reason to be :)

Often times our sorrow can be far more overwhelming than our joy, and I think, as humans, we tend to dwell on it longer; the perfect recipe for stormy poetry.
