If you say so

If you say so

A Poem by Johanna
"

I´ve been thinking about writing this poem for a while, and then it just came to me.

"

If you say so

Everyone else knows before I´m told

I woke up, your side of the bed was cold

You been keeping secrets from me

We talked about it, you told me to let it be

It wasn't something that I needed to know

and I said if you say so

If you say so

You woke up scraming in the night

You cried, you lied, we had a fight

We said our apologies but you just shook your head

I know the truth isn't black and white

But how do all those walls make you free?

You've stopped listening to me

and as all my words gathered dust

You said let it go

you know I'm  someone you can trust

and I said, if you say so

If you say so

Silent enough for a needle to drop

As you sit and listen to your own thoughts

I said I loved you, but you couldn't hear me

Picturing scenes I couldn't see

I asked you why you wouldn't share

But you acted like I wasn't there

I got frightened by your empty stare

We were losing, you and me

and you were losing your sanity

I wanted to help you but you said no

Wait, you can´t make flowers grow

and I said, if you say so

If you say so

The one thing you didn't need was time

I slowly lost the man that once was mine

My love where did you go when you closed your eyes?

You were falling, you fell into the skies

Why wouldn´t you let the truth be shown

Instead of suffering alone

I have no wings but I´ll never let you go

I felt your heart rate getting low

and you said, if you say so

If you say so

Your very welcome yeah, yes it does very much:))))))) Welcome Johanna:)
You woke up scraming in the night
You cried, you lied, we had a fight
We said our apologies but you just shook your head
I know the truth isn't black and white
But how do all those walls make you free?
You've stopped listening to me
and as all my words gathered dust
You said let it go
you know I'm someone you can trust
and I said, if you say so
If you say so

Seems there is a rhyme line misplacement in this stanza
What I think of the verse ---
besides that stanza ---
is that you portray a relationship on the brinks ---
holding on to what's left ---
and hope to endure ---
and keep it intact...

This develops quite into an intense mood...
and then comes slowly crashing down...
the rhyme scheme and the repetition...
ends relatively just as it started...
