Maybe

So I´ve had this poem for a while.. but haven´t published it until now. I wasn´t happy with it before, but I feel better about it now, and decided to share it with you all instead of not giving it a chance at all.

MAYBE

I´ve been thinking that maybe I should pack my bags

and get on tomorows train

I´ve been thinking that maybe I won´t get you back

You won´t be the same again

I´ve been thinking that maybe it is my fault

like you keep saying when you sleep

I´ve been thinking that maybe time has come to a halt

and it´s better if I just leave

I´ve been thinking that maybe you don´t want my love

because you never say that you do

I´ve been thinking that maybe you hate me already now

for not understanding you

I´ve been thinking that maybe hope is a strange thing

That you keep hidden, but still loose all the time

I´ve been thinking that maybe if I stay til spring

I´ll completely wither inside

I´ve been thinking that maybe I was naíve

to believe we would still be the same

I´ve been thinking that maybe I should be allowed to grieve

for the man that was, and the future that never came

I´ve been thinking that maybe I´m lying awake

because I don´t feel safe by your side

I´ve been thinking that maybe it is to late

and you won´t let it be because of your pride

I´ve been thinking that maybe I´m going insane

counting stars on the ceiling that aren´t there

I´ve been thinking that maybe I´d jump on a plane

whatever it takes to get away form here

I´ve been thinking that maybe I´m being unfair

for desperatly leaving this way

I´ve been thinking that maybe you won´t notice I´m not there

If you did, you still wouldn´t say

I´ve been thinking that maybe I should pack my bags

and let go cause I know you will not

I´ll let go of lost love, you don´t have to come back

You don´t have to become the man you forgot

I´ve been thinking that there´s not reason in reason at all

I´ve been thinking it over in so many ways

I think I´ll leave a note with goodbye in the hall

I´ve been thinking a lot these days

What Hell is this we dip our fingers in when we wet the pen of inspiration?

Lately, I've been thinking I should be thinking less, but maybe I'm not thinking clearly...

Actually, this poem is very real to life.
The read felt a little repetitive at times for me. Still, I did enjoy the honesty of your pen and the creativity of your pondering.
