A broken man

A broken man

A Poem by Johanna
"

This is a winter poem written from a man´s point of view. Would really love it if you read and told me what you thought, merry christmas by the way <3

"

I like my town better when it´s snowing

Everything black turns white

I thought I walked around with no one knowing

That I wasn´t fine, well not quite

I´ve put on a mask been okay like that

They´ve all been talking behind my back

Thought they wouldn´t notice how sad I´d been

Once the snow came and wiped my life clean

That´s the thing about a small town I guess

They people always dig deeper than the surface

They´ve been calling me a broken man

They say I´m broken, but I love through the cracks

They´ve been calling me a desperate man

Running after her when I can´t get her back

They´ve been calling me a lonely man

Walking around in the scarf she gave me last year

They´ve been calling me the man who won´t let go

Cause I keep talking about when she was here

They´ve been calling me the naïve man

Who knew, but still said that he didn´t know

They´ve been calling me the crazy man

Who can´t stop making angels in the snow

In the snow

So they´ve been calling me

oh they´ve been calling me

A broken man

Well maybe

Maybe

Maybe

I am

''Everything black turns white'' once a person is broken, everything can perhaps change. Beautiful poem

Thankyou Sean :)
He sounds a little paranoid. I guess he may be broken after all...
Winter can be tough. Especially were you live. The blues can become real depression and all the aftermath as well.
Poor guy! He probably just needs a hug and some sunlight.

Joanna I loved this , It spoke to me in my time I am in. It fit me where my life hangs in a society at will. The thing is I am in a bounds with love and fear , The fear not many know in a depth of cold. I am forgiven that's just enough for me. The world sees in curves no road to be. It is always great to know some forgive in such a time. Your words produced a great feel to me. And I am not saying it was meant for just me. I want to thank you though cause like I say it spoke deeply:)

I've always found perspective changes a difficult atmosphere to write in. And well, scary. Bravo. Again, so sad but such a relentless character. Love it.
