It´s Cold Out There

I got a bad mark for writing poetry in class, and this is the poem I was writing. Inspired by the cold outside..

It´s cold out there









When I´m breathing
I´m alive
But it´s been a while
Since I felt that way inside
The winter is so long
There´s so much damage to repair
In December
I remember you told me
Don´t go
It´s cold out there


I´ve been walking around the snow
Wishing for spring
Closing up from the world
Hiding everything
Hiding from my heart´s realizations
Pretending I have none
The world has frozen over
and I don´t know anyone


I am not breathing
I´m not alive
I won´t dwell on my feelings
When they arrive
I have no feelings
It´s safer to be unaware
Into a warm house I retreat
Hearing your voice so sweet
Echo in the wind, in my ear
Stay warm
It´s cold out there


A house there to protect me
From the cold shadows of the night
Only me and my four walls
Can read the words I write
Protect me from the cold wind
That blows through skin and bone
Protect me from the cold heart
That left me all alone


Your eyes turned cold when winter came
Love fell like leaves until the trees were bare
I remember you told me
Don´t go
 It is cold out there
I died before I saw the blessed spring
You are cold
The cold was coming from within

I don't know why your teacher given you bad marks in poetry ..may be your teacher is not well aware about your poetry that how cool you are at. Anyway, your this poetry is awesome and very nice, it's all about winter season and hey, don't feel bad about your bad marks i hate seeing you sad so i give you 100/100 marks for your that poetry in which your teacher has given you bad marks. So .. be happy, hey, you'd told me that you'll smiling always because i your smile is that ..... that what!! ha!.. that makes the world delight :) So, keep smiling. Well, Johanna, so I think I'd say to praise yer beauty more that your every behavior's good because I know, you know and more importantly the world knows that beautiful angels never done anything wrong to hurt anybody into the world So, Keep going on with your Eternity without worry of others what they thing because if you know your right then no one can prove your wrong my dear Johanna a beautiful friend ever :)

I thought this was a beautiful piece for winter :) Such a creative mind you have and I love the story you told with this. I also feel each bold word of cold means a different kind of cold. Like, a metaphor, I guess? Just my thoughts, but yeah. I think my favorite line would be how you said "I won't dwell on my feelings when they arrive." That's a powerful line and it's always a good lesson to teach yourself because with dwelling on problems or feelings, nothing will change..you'll just get yourself down :/ Great write nonetheless!

The pale blue of how emotion makes a woman feel in the coldest weather, time, place and relationship, perhaps. The added colour to the word 'cold' really does create a brief but repeated setting to a series of pictures and, your words are placed so gently but creatively. Those three last lines are .. near tragedy.
