Rain

Watched rain fall on my window, and this poem was born.

Drops fell from the clouds

Not all of them my tears

You disappeared into the crowds

My voice drowned by their cheers

I can´t feel my heartbeat

You crushed my heart underneath your feet

 

Tears are left in your track

But I know your not coming back

You said it felt wrong

To you forever was too long

You hadn´t been happy for a while

I didn´t see the sorrow behind your smile

 

I stood frozen on the ground

Didn´t want to move; put flowers down

The clouds hover above the skyline

I never did see the signs

Saw our picture in a frame

Saw our love, undying flame

Now it´s smoke in the rain

 

Sorry

Don´t say it, not again

Not when the ending is still the same

Just rain, no sun

Lost my future before it begun

It’s the teardrops under your feet

It´s everything you were to me

It´s the flowers I put down

Who won´t rise to see this gray town

It´s the whisper in my ear

Of love that came

Was never here

I love rain too, this piece reminds me my rainy days when i was in rain and enjoying in rain with an umbrella..lol

This caught my attention...I like the imagery that your words painted here. I can imagine a lot of people feeling this way after losing someone they love and know they won't be back. You did great at showing emotions in this one.

I really felt the pain here. I really wanted to give the speaker a hug and tell them it was going to be ok. I love the rain, it is beautiful and it seems to bring out writing like this. Well done :) It takes talent to really make the reader's heart break, and I felt mine breaking for this person.

Of the three poems I've read of yours today this one is my favorite. It's the longest, too. The last paragraph was the best, I think, so full of emotion. You write heartbreak very well lol.
