Like they were never heard

Like they were never heard

A Poem by Johanna
"

Heard a touching story that deserves a poem.

"

A page we both wrote on

Beautiful the words

But when you were gone

They drowned

Like they were never heard

Now I´m the only one who can hear them

The words we did and didn´t say

Stare into the distance, your heart bled

Coloring the world our way

We stopped time, sitting on your bed

You didn´t have to say it

I always knew

The longer the silence

The more my love for you grew

Your tears would fall down

Down into the deep, blue sea

Sea of our words around the bed

The sea was blue, better blue than red

I´d always hold you

Hold your dreams in my hand

The dreams only I know

Only we would understand

I´ll never let the hope die

The rain would fall outside

But I would never let go

After all this time

I´m still holding your dreams

As you held mine

I´m sitting alone in our place

No peace of mind

Not your breath on my face

No answers to find

Gray haze of fear

Since your not here

I fix my stare

On where you sat before

My eyes spot a crumbled paper on the floor

A page we both wrote on

Beautiful the words

But when you were gone

They drowned

Like they were never heard

If it carves, shape it. If it sculpts, mold it. If it mends, fix it.

No matter where we go in life there will always be a certain stop that we will see. The sights are breathtaking, the sounds are amazing and even the food is so delicious that it fills and feels you up by the scent it carries. However like a desert's mystery it is but the mirage we have created in our life. The reality of a heartbroken story is one we always write about. It's why we have so many beautiful love songs because of this. It is chronicled and forever remembered.

We are not alone though and in this story even though a happy ending wasn't exactly given we take it upon ourselves to enjoy that flitting moment that flew us by and then we move forward. Drowning it will do but we can lift ourselves up when we see someone pass us and give us a ride to the shore again. Thus our love is restored but in another world and at another dimension. Beautiful :)

Thankyou :)
Its simplicity is moving - stirring something in my chest that's foreign. I have to say I really love your voice in writing.

Your writing style is absolutely beautiful. I loved this poem.
The story of love and loss, wonderfully told within this poem. I liked your intricate descriptions and the flow of the piece overall. I'm glad I took the time to read this piece.

100/100 from me on this one.
