I miss you the most in December

I just love christmas and December.. always wanted to write a good christmas song, this is what I came up with..

1.

I hanged up the star in the window last night

I lit the little lantern by the door

Light through the world who is covered in white

But no light in my life anymore

 

No other footprints in the snow but my own

Only one jacket hanging over the chair

I´m sitting in front of the fire alone

Wishing you were here…

 

 Course:

I miss you the most in December

I miss you the most on Christmas Eve

Don´t even know if you remember me

Wherever you are, you should be here..

I don´t wanna be without you again this year

 

2.

I went to buy presents, bought one for you

Then I went out on the street to catch the bus

When I realized that I´d never be accepted, I kept it

Just another reminder that there once wasn´t me, but us

 

They have put up the tree on the corner

And the choir is singing carols as they always do

I can´t hold my tears back any longer

Everything, everything reminds me of you

I was supposed to be fine without you

I was supposed to be happy and strong

The pain wasn´t supposed to last this long

You were supposed to stay…

I´ve written a wish list, but I threw it away

The flames turn to ember

It acually is a song..I write a lot of songs, but it dosen´t have a melody so it works as a poem as well :) Thankyou! :)
