Your not coming backA Poem by JohannaA poem about the worst pain there is, the pain of loosing someone close to you.
The room is cold, and so empty I hurry to close the window I touch the old, photo you gave me Of you when you were little
I cross the floor, and sit down On the chair you always used to sit on The wooden door still carries your nightgown It doesn´t know that your gone
I light a candle to feel warmer It doesn´t help much... The stuff I told you to move Still lies in the corner I´m longing for your touch
Your voice, your laugh Can´t believe your never coming back! It must be a bad dream, a nightmare Maybe when I wake up you´ll be here Beside me, sleeping on your pillow Cause you promised You promised you´d never go
I stand up to make some coffee Take two cups out of the cabinet Then I remember, your not drinking with me Almost loose my breath
Is this over yet? How could you forget, what you promised I thought it was true, now how can I forget you? You knew, you knew I needed someone to come home to Not just anyone, I need you You are never coming home... How could you leave me here alone?
I lay down in my bed, lay done on your side try to close my eyes Pictured your face, looking down from the sky then I cried I don´t want time! I just want your hand in mine your hand, so soft I look at my ring, the ring I´m never taking off I´m
never gonna take it off.
