Where they have beenA Poem by JohannaA poem I wrote to express my sadness over what happened to the Jews during World War II.Children crying People dying Screams for help all around Innocents collapsing on the ground People longing for some love Prayers sent to heaven above Hope so dim, hearts broken Everywhere last words are spoken Such pain our eyes have never seen Fear of what is to come Trying to hold on to what has been High fences, no way to peace So many killed for their beliefs Hate as fog in the air Faith replaced by fear The world is slowly ripped apart While the few survivors cry in the dark Because of lives lost and no new start Cause nothing can erase what they have seen What they have been through Where they have been © 2014 JohannaAuthor's Note
