TEARS OF A LIONA Poem by JoffytheRayA leader loses his power and empire with a deep feeling of regret.Weak, cold, drenched
and dehydrated beyond recognition, Welcome to the big
hostile jungle where clemency has no rendition, Away from my cubs,
away from my pride, all I have is heart beats and near extinction, My strength, my roar
and my power all faded in a moment of imagination, Bring me back to life,
bring me back my gusto, bring me back to my relish and satisfaction
You gave me faith; I gave
you stability and governance, You gave me decisions;
I gave you peace and exuberance, You gave me power; I slipped
into tyranny and autocracy, You gave me another
chance and all that slipped is democracy, Now my kingdom is
gone, my kind is extinct; I am writhing in doubt and complacency, Bring me back to life,
bring back my gusto, bring me back to my relish and satisfaction © 2016 JoffytheRayAuthor's Note
