lighting bolts,starry eyes,souls aglow

A Poem by Joe_VILOT_
"

love across an unreachable divide?

"
Lighting bolts,starry eyes,souls aglow
starry eyed staring,  out across a
raven so deep the jagged forks of
quick pulse the landscape glowing in an' out
dances to a rhythm felt first
then heard. Heard through the bones of granite
and late upon the part we came so ?.....
too late might be added yet we would just
shudder with the burden of the lies
of a curse never to fall in love the reapers
scythe sweeping the soft touch of electric shock.
yet underneath a storm is brewing
reason of ours fate thrown to the
extremes of rawness and timidity rain lashing hell bent scream
not yet spent. The rain feebly patters against
such an unleashing of fury.......
Yet is not the reason assunder when all
belief faith hope is then to the core
of it ripped inside out?
Isonotic tones all around.......
love indeed the foolish game yet as we/they
look across the ravenous gain feeling desolation
and despair and pondering if they are the only one
to feel, who feel this pain not just for love
companionship for unity of this sacred land
the whole......

another awesome write that left me feeling several different emotions... those electric shocks are never gentle to me.. but can relate on so many levels of this.. and ask myself the same question all the time... is it a foolish game?... am I the only one who feels this way?.... am I the only one who longs for the companionship and unity?.... I try not to let the "belief/faith/hope" get "ripped inside out"... ouch... I guard it closely and carefully.. always nurturing that "flicker" that I am able to maintain.... I still want to feel that rhythm, that dance, keep those stars in my eyes and the hope in my heart... well done.. I thoroughly enjoyed this one!
