Peak

Peak

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Pollution spraying from a mouth that does nothing but please when the peak comes at ease
A Dangerous mind that can turn a scripture into a spell that unwinds
A woman you want to avoid but fills the void with her dazzling wizardry
It’s hard to keep distance from a woman who can bring down heaven in an instance
A soul on fire approaches a man with a hand full of fluid
Crystal clear eyes with pupils as big as my demise
It’s all going downhill but the brakes are broken and I love myself a thrill
A LA woman has made her way into the Pit of Jersey
I can commit a thousand sins and still... I’ll never be worthy

A woman of darkness who gave me sight
A psychedelic journey that turns south but feels right
Time ceases to exist
All these feelings from a touch, not even a kiss

She’s my downhill woman
Please enjoy the ride
We come closer to death
But I’ve never felt this alive
