Paranoid

Paranoid

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Broken trust can be a lot more painful than a broken heart
Insecure promises that kept you together now has you apart
Now you try to acquire the pieces but the anger you’ve obtained begin to fill up the creases
You forbid to tell anyone near about your secrets and fears
The smiles of your trust have rusted
Betrayed and alone because you start to realize that people have no souls just bones
Relationships become harder to form because trust is something that can’t be reborn
It’s lost, now you fear that everyone has a heart that frosts
Paranoid....
You’re paranoid
