Forgive

Forgive

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Forgiveness is becoming a trait many are throwing away.
Life is too short to hold hatred, it decays the soul.
The mind begins to mold from those thoughts of detestation.
The concentration of revenge blinds the lense from seeing any sign of inner peace.
Forgiveness is the missing piece in most cases of confrontation.
Instead, we leave behind traces of anger which continues to spread and many hold it with them until they're dead.
I know many acts can be unforgiving, but without inner peace can you truly be living?
To all those who took me for granted, I planted the seed of forgiveness in my soul to cleanse it from its own demise.
To those who I took for granted, I hope you forgive me as well.
Humanity needs it.
