God?

God?

A Poem by Joey Martinez

I know many people who rely on faith but when their prayers go unanswered anger begins to show on the face.
A response is never guaranteed because the God above isn't a man of greed.
Many calls are on hold while some are fortunate enough to behold a response.
Now those on hold begin to grow cold towards the man of renaissance.
A man of creation is being looked as a thief.
Robbing souls that were far too young to dispatch.
Now believers begin to retract and turn their backs.
God and I don't see eye to eye at times but I still believe he's in plan sight while in disguise.
I feel the presence but there at moments where he's gone from the essence of my view.
I still believe and so should you.
Even though my faith diminishes day by day I still have some stored when sorrow comes my way.
Believe don't rely.
Believe.
