No Time

No Time

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Change takes time but the way this world is grinding it's gears you'll have to hurry before the tears begin to fall.
The reaper is working overtime, never missing a call into action.
No matter how many times we populate, there's always subtraction.
Evil is gaining traction on the good.
Kids reach out for help but are left misunderstood.
Now emotions begin to tangle.
The halo on their head turns into horns that dangle.
You can't rely on nobody but yourself.
You write the pages to your own book, nobody else.
So change while you're ahead.
Time never stops unless you're dead.
