Wait..

Wait..

A Poem by Joey Martinez

The world keeps spinning and so is her head
Yearning for a goodnights rest while wishing the grim reaper can offer her death
Anxiety making its attack during her hours of work
Trying to secretly lurk her way out the building with her false smirk of stable stature
She's a slave to the master of false worries and despair
Trying to get rid of them with the smoke of her cigarette hitting the air
Hoping one day to be the true heir of her own mind
The only answer to her prayers is time
