Existence

Existence

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Her silence is louder than ever
A state of emergency has been issued the lever has been breached
Suicidal thoughts that were once deceased have again been reached
A flood of cries are on the rise
And once again no one seems to realize the demise that lies right in front of their eyes
No one cares about the quiet girl in class
Everyone's eyes are focused on the teachers a*s and the sass from the popular girls who hide behind a mask of makeup
And she's hoping someone wakes up and realizes she's in need of assistance
Hoping someone acknowledges her existence instead of keeping their distance
I wrote this for her to understand that you're not forgotten and I will do anything to help you from ending it all and have a perfectly young body and mind go rotten
I hear your silence and this is my reply
Going through hard times will only make you stronger so keep your head up high

Love this. This is very well written, all the rhymes and lines seem carefully put together with time and care, and even if they weren't they certainly were created by an owner who possesses a great amount of talent for poetry and writing. The meaning of this is also very well-done in this poem. You described her pain so well and ended it on a high note, amazing.
