Under the sun

Under the sun

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Individuals cease to piece together what happens in the land of the middle east
A destination where justice and peace don't exist
Women being forced to use their hijabs to avoid the mist of chemical attacks
Families being driven from their homes knowing they can never come back
Americans focusing on Americans
While others worry about the world
While we face many problems on our land it doesnt come close to what is happening to the little boys and girls across the world
A holy land is being taken into a holy war
Praying for the end of conflict but the devil keeps on bringing more
The followers and readers of the Quran
Against the deceivers and belivers of the shaitan
Throughout the pain and suffering, the readers come to their knees and give thanks to God for being able to breath another day
They still believe peace can come along their way
May God bless them all
I raise my glass for those who refuse to fall to the Devils regime
I raise my glass for the middle east
