Outsider

Outsider

A Poem by Joey Martinez

The masses are looking for the perfect girl tagged with a jaw dropping physique.
My eyes are focused on the girl who has a lot on her mind but doesn't speak.
I'm a sucker for that mystique impression.
The temperature is on the rise.
Out comes the skin, out comes the breasts and the thighs.
But my eyes are locked towards the girl dressed in all black.
She has me wanting to interact.
I know she's a rose with a few thorns intact.
And that's okay, I desire the challenge to help her shed the pain.
I love me an outsider who despises the thought of fitting in.
I love me a girl who's heavenly but has a dash of sin.
It's time I make the move but the curiosity is something I love and don't wanna lose.
I don't wanna become a bother.
I just want her to know I'm honored by her mysterious presence.
But why would a queen associate herself with a peasant?
Another day.
Maybe tomorrow I'll make my way.
The curiosity has me in a daze.
I'm scared to know the girl who has my mind in a maze.
