Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Paranoid of the grim reaper
Lying under the sun while it melts my soul like ether
Afraid I'll join the war pigs alongside their electric funeral
But I have some solitude knowing I'll become renewable
Maybe it's a symptom of the universe, believing I won't just be behind a wall of sleep
I believe in the Lord of this world and the promises he keeps
I can smell death drawing near, children of the graves start to cheer
Another iron man making his way into the void
I can see the hole in the sky, I can't avoid
Death comes on the Black Sabbath day
The hand of doom makes it way
The master of reality is making his approach
Do I stand still or scurry away like a roach?
He points me towards the angels but guides me towards the dirty women
He grows timid and pushes down to hell
Another war pig joines the fun
Light is lost life is done.
