Paterson

It's astonishing to know how many talented people can live in a town so lethal
A place where evil roams around disrupting the peaceful people who keep to them selves
Who sadly find their way onto the shelves of the files of the deceased
As a write this poem I know another victim will take place, rest in peace
The violence never ends but lucky for me I came across a few good individuals who I gladly call my friends
And I pray they never see the end anytime soon
So many lives taken that have yet been able to bloom
But back to the conclusion
It's good to see people who don't take part in this dog eat dog delusion
I respect those who's sticking to their talents, whether it's rapping, drawing, writing, designing, I know if all you stick to it you'll see the silver lining
Paterson New Jersey born and raised
I love my town but damn some things need to change
