Snowblind

Snowblind

A Poem by Joey Martinez

A blizzard approaches
Couples coming together while the lone wolf doses
The men head out to buy roses while the lone wolf sniffs up a blizzard to rid her atrocious emotions
Times like these bring her down on her knees because she aches for a companion who can ease the pain
Who can dry her tears of flood pouring rain
Someone who can get inside her head and make her feel sane
The first drop of snow makes it way onto the table
Sniffing it up until she feels unstable
Snowblind to it all
Too high to answer the call
God left on hold
Hell freezes over she begins to feel cold
She drops dead on the floor and begins to mold
Snowblind baby, Snowblind to it all
The higher she goes the harder the fall
