Salute

Salute

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Too many women catching the eye rather than the mind
It makes me wonder if men would still be attracted to them if they were blind
Beauty is an asset that attracts the masses, the ones who date girls only for their assess
I'm looking for that woman who can blow my mind, spark up my neutrons, let it all unwind
I'm dying to be intrigued by a womans intelligence who's out of my league
I'm looking past the women who show too much skin
But don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with looking heavenly while adding some sin
Im just tired of meeting a beautiful woman who doesnt inspire
Who doesn't add fuel to my fire
To become higher, to become better
To calm the storm to tame the weather
I want you to make me wonder
Electrify my mind like thunder
I'm hungry for a woman who can change my pattern of thoughts
But so far my feelings have yet to be caught
