Catch

Catch

A Poem by Joey Martinez

You would think these women in skimp clothing would grab my attention
But it's the complete opposite they're not worth the mention

I desire a challenege, an outsider, the odd piece of the puzzle that doesn't quite fit

A woman that will make me change, the one that'll teach me that these old habits of mine need to quit

Someone who was a visitor of rock bottom and checked out ahead of schedule
A woman who can look past my current mistakes and visualize my potential

A woman with comfort, a woman with humor, a woman with a mother's touch
Someone who can help me out of a jam, a woman who is clutch

And I know she exists
But everytime I go for the catch I miss

Damn these puny arms and clumsy wrists

"a woman who is clutch" I LOVE IT ;)

This made me smile. Not because it was funny but because it was honest and some things very ironic. Also, good writing just makes me smile in general ;)

thank you for sharing!

someone once said, and im not sure who, once you stop looking for something you'll find it
