Red Dress

Red Dress

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Im in love with the woman in the red dress
A killer beauty that the devil himself has blessed
Her red hair resembles hells fires
Her eyes can see your true desires
A touch that shivers your soul
And a heart black as coal
How can a man of the lord fall in love?
With a creature who is banned from above
Her voice speaks of trouble and despair
While mines speak of tenderness and care
Shes a wild fire that glows in a heavy red
I can either extinguish her or help her spread
Or worst case scenario end up dead
My mother warned me to stay away from women like this
But you know what they say, ignorance is bliss
And this is a opportunity I will not miss
Can I turn her fires into a beam of light?
Or will she burn everything in sight?
