Floating

Floating

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Ocean blue
I'm swimming far away from you
Floating on the tears you made fall
But I know you don't care at all
I guess you can say I threw in the towel
That move you made was far too foul
How can you leave my heart stranded?
How can you tear it apart and leave it abandoned?
But you remain unscathed
You remain in mint condition
And to be honest I'm glad
When in reality I should be mad
But that's the love I still have for you
It doesn't go away in a day or two
And as I float further and further away
I wish the tides can pull me back so I can see you one last day

Beautiful piece.
I can feel the emotion and heartache in this piece.
Simple story of a guy feeling hurt and heartbroken.
Wanting the water to wash the pain and past away, but not being able to let go.
I love the way this was written.
Keep on writing :)
