Mixed Signals

Mixed Signals

A Poem by Joey Martinez

She loves to play with my mind
Rearranging every wire she can find
I'm her experiment gone wrong
And by the looks of it I won't last long
Does she love me? Does she care?
Am I another rusted piece or something rare?
Her mixed signals have me in a haze
How I can I solve this impossible maze?
I'm at a standstill
Deciding to advance or retreat
But by the looks of it, both will end in defeat
Why can't you just be clear?
What is it that you fear?
Is it the feeling of letting me down?
Or the feeling of having someone like me around?
I know my past speaks of unpleasant times
But what you're doing to me is the biggest crime
Please just let me know if you want to be mine

This explains the situation I am in right now spot on, it's weird seeing that someone else knows how I feel. I loved your poem.
