Savior

Savior

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Oh what a joy the sun has decided to rise once again
So wash away the dirt and rinse your eyes for it is not the end
The world isn't over but its reaching the peak
The end is near and hope is what we seek
And when the day of judgement comes down
I want you to climb back up and give life another round
Or you can fall and I can dance around your memories
Just to see if you truly do remember me
Soon enough the wave of destruction will appear
And flood us with its never ending tears
But through all that mayhem your soul will still blossom
Growing into a marvelous figure of hope
So the survivors of judgement can have shelter to cope
I may be gone but you will forever stay
Your body will decease but your soul will never go away
They depend on you, so stay true to who you are
Because your soul comforts no matter how far
You resemble the gift of life
You are....... my world
