Worlds

Worlds

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Sometimes I create worlds in my mind
And see what my imagination can find
I just like to ponder on how far my mind can go
I try to sprout the seed of creativity so my imagination can grow
In my eyes I view creativity as a gift from above
A gift that can be as powerful as love
I'm just fascinated on how the mind has no limits
How these false realities can seem so vivid
I feel so alive in these false places
A world of hope with nothing but happy faces
But I'm stuck in this sad machine
A world where the grass shows a darker shade of green
A place where faces look timid and mean
Which is why I hide myself in a world that's unseen
And in this unseen world everyone is invited
A unity of peace where no one is divided
Where a flicker of divinity shines so bright
That the sun lies with the moon during the night
I can hear the sea of voices calling my name
Imagination is a beautiful beast that anyone can tame
