Silence

Silence

A Poem by Joey Martinez

I think I'm becoming a lover of sleep
The silence it brings soothes me deep
I'm left alone, not to be bothered
Sleep is the son and death is the father
The state of being in a pitch black hole
Adds color and happiness to my soul
If death is this sweet
I can't wait to dig in and eat
