Come Home

Come Home

A Poem by Joey Martinez

I refuse to believe you're gone
God didn't take you away
I know you didn't lie
When you said you'd stay
I'm here waiting
The world awaits your arrival
But time has different plans
The clock is my rival
Each second without you
Kills me inside
Can you come home
And leave where you reside
Come back home
Love has an open door
You know I can't get enough of you
Come back and give me more
Everyone says
You're not coming back
But the doubt of your return
Is something I lack
You know where I am
Come meet me here
Life's a blur without you
Now come make it clear
