Witness

Witness

A Poem by Joey Martinez

On the brink of insanity, but no one cares

I sit here aching in pain, wallowing in despair

You win this time life, I admit defeat

I played the game and tried to cheat

I thought I was winning, I thought I was getting the groove

But you lied back and caught every move

I was dangling on the thin line of sanity, but I fell

Now I reside in my own man made hell

I have no one to blame but myself

I know I dealt quite a big damage to my health

No one but the night sky can hear these cries

I wish I can come to you, spread my wings and fly

Its just you and I sky, you're my only friend

You were there when I was born, now you're gonna witness the end
