Angelic Devil

Angelic Devil

A Poem by Joey Martinez

Eyes that can see through the shell of goodness and into true desires
Lips that are softer than the most delicate flower
A smile so bright, the blind can see its shine
A touch that shivers through your spine and into your soul
A voice so smooth and soft, it can put an angel to rest
I hope the devil isn't mad at me for loving something so heavenly
And I hope God isn't mad at me for the lustful temptations she brings me
What a beautiful creation my eyes have witnessed
I refuse to believe I am awake
You only see beauty like this in your dreams
She carries such a lovely scent, she smells so pure
But how can something so pure, make me want to sin
She makes my urges and temptations run wild
I can feel the power of lust overcoming the power of love
I can feel the power of desire rise
My oh my, what a angelic devil

I really enjoyed the contrast here. The way the narrator described an angelic essence compelling them to sin was a flawless expression. This really was unique work of art. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed the read.
