My thoughts begin to float along the waves

They keep me up at night until time reaches a new day

I try my best to fall asleep and avoid these thoughts

Sometimes I can't defeat them no matter how hard I fought

These thoughts swim all around my head

I feel as if my brain would still think even if I was dead

I think a lot during the night

I tried to conquer these thoughts but I lack ammo to fight

But soon enough I found a way to drown these thoughts in my head

Two remedies that ended up sinking these thoughts until they were dead

Music and Poetry, those two things helped me overcome these mind games

I put those two together and it produced a powerful rain

I feel my thoughts being drowned by the power of Poetry and music

When you find something powerful that you love, use it

Everyone has their weapon of choice that helps them overcome

Use it to your advantage and I promise you whatever you're going through will be done

Thanks to Poetry and music, I can sleep at night 

And wake up to a beautiful sun that shines so bright

No more struggles to sleep, no more fits and fights
