Guitar Girl

Guitar Girl

A Poem by Joey Martinez

She sits back and plays her guitar
Singing about her broken heart
I like how she turned tragedy into art
She's shopping for emotions, but sadness is not in her cart
Her voice, so angelic and soft
The melodies trap me, throws me into a loft
And those eyes, oh my
A beautiful shade of blue, bluer than the sky
Long luscious locks of blond hair
That flow with the wind and tangles in the air
How can someone hurt a beautiful woman like this
If I could have her, that would be a opportunity I would not miss
Such a gorgeous woman, she has me thinking that perfection exists
I hope one day our lips meet and come together for a kiss
Each strum of her guitar
Has me high off my feet, higher than any star
She paints visuals with her words
How can a voice like this go unheard
Her vibe is extraordinary, you can feel it from a mile away
It pulls me closer to her, I never wanna leave her side, I wanna stay
Keep playing that guitar girl, keep playing with my heart
I have fallen in love with Gods finest art

Nice work, Joey Martinez. Can hear the emotions in your words and like the girl in the poem , you write from the heart. Keep doing what you love Cos the readers surely love what you write. For sure I do. Would work nicely in a song. :-)
