The Other Half of My Heart

My gift to you my love for our 6th anniversary together. I hope you love it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

First year together, my life became better. We found pieces we never had apart.
It was a struggle to learn of each other but we both were sure
you are the other half of my heart.

Second year around, it was tough when we were down. People made us feel bad from the starts.
Through and through though as tough as it was we loved each other more than enough
because we knew we were the other half of our hearts.

Third year in, we passed what we had been. Our love is stronger its lasted longer. Our love is a work of art.
Blended together like a beautiful mix of colors, no longer girlfriend or boyfriend just simply lovers.
Together forever my other half of my heart.

Fourth year, I never knew I could love so much or so long. I feel like we have gotten so strong. Its not easy though we fight at times and restart.
Getting so close is bound to cause friction, but you are always more stronger than any angry conviction. You trusted me and I trust you always there for each other when we feel blue.
Its because you and I know as we always knew, we are the other half of our hearts.

Fifth year in its getting pretty rough, so many scares so many fights am I strong enough? I may fight and be angry but I wont ever depart.
So many years together and so much we understand about one another, so much love between us, its not gonna burn not going to turn to dust. My love will never let me break ill go on, no matter how long the wait.
The reason is you my sweetheart its always you, because your the greatest other half of my heart.

Finally Year six, the great year in the mix. Its gonna be good and big, our hard lives are finally coming to and end and our blossoming love has bloomed in spring where everything can begin. We were still immature at first but now were smart.
My moon I look to the stars has become my wife I smile to every day and love in every way. These years ahead will be in our lovely homestead. At peace together always and forever.
