Chapter 3: Bloodstained Lineage.

"I still wonder why she stopped me. I felt like ending that fools life.. he couldnt see it but I did. His memories in that cut.. I felt the blood he soaked to get to his position. "

"I'm no hero myself but.. when your fighting for cash and so called honor, a man can be made into a hero or a villain depending on the eyes that look. Both are ones that kill.. so why not kill them?"



*as he made his way up the trail deeper into the forest pathway and up the hillside to the spot they arrived he looked to her*

Blade: you know.. were never gonna stop being hunted now.They may send the whole army after us.

*she gazed at him a bit making her way up and he sighed*

Blade: I'm not saying its your fault! its never our fault, they always fight with us because of me..

*she moved ahead looking back at him as he paused*

Blade: I.. I really am worried this time.. we dealt with bandits no problem, took care of monsters and even mercenary's.. but this is an army.. maybe you should..

*he looked up to her as she looked down to him staring into his eyes. He blinked calmly looking almost entranced by her stare then sighed*

Blade: yeah.. not even an army should be able to separate us.. if you don't want to go then fine.. im not worried about you being attacked.. its more you losing yourself.

*she blinked then moved up the trail. He blinked and growled*

Blade: hey! don't call me "mushy!" do I look like mud to you?



*meanwhile a tall man with brown hair looked on at the mountain trail with a group of soldiers*


???: they headed up there?

*the Captain nodded*

Vise: yes sir Lord Renus, Its too steep to get to with horses.

*He nodded and looked at a map given to him by a soldier*

Renus: if they are as dangerous as you say, Vise then we should capture them and surround the mountain. By daylight we should have them in chains.

*He nodded then bowed*

Vise: allow me to lead the attack sir!

*he looked to his arm arching an eyebrow*

Renus: no. you have been injured badly. Its best you wait for the rest of the medical team to arrive. I'll send Paige.

*He lowered his head*

Vise: as..you wish my lord.

*He looked to a soldier*

Renus: Soldier! Call for Paige..

*he focused on the mountain more thinking as Blade sighed sitting down against the cliff side they were first at. Elenel sat down looking out at the village as the moonlight shined. He shook his head sadly*

Blade: guess we arnt going there anytime soon again.. too bad.. it was booming for a small village.

*she looked to him and he nodded*

Blade: i know.. the pastries were good right? well if all this is settled or they move on maybe we can talk about getting more.

*she blinked looking to him then shivered a bit. He looked to her and moved close. She pulled back a bit hesitantly. He then waved his hands*

Blade: settle down El, im not gonna bite. Your cold so you need to huddle up.

*she looked to him focusing as he wrapped the cloak he wore around her and then moved a bit away and nodded*

Blade: there now your fine.

*she looked to the cloak and sat against the cliff side, She then looked up to him as he looked to her and shook his head*

Blade: my bloods too hot to worry about cold.. its not that im mad.. im just antsy.. you know they will try something and so do I.

*she turned looking at the village then closed her eyes and slid against his side. He blinked and sighed a bit*

Blade: yeah.. I wish they left us alone too..

*he dazed a bit closing his eyes and then finally fell asleep as she fell asleep next to him.*

*a voice could be heard*

???: you'll never find it. Its always hard to get.

*a girls voice replied*

???: your wrong ill find it then its your turn to hide it.

*footsteps could be heard then a gasp*

???: El? ..El?!

*his eyes seemed to open seeing a tall man attack her and try to rip her clothes off. He glared rushing up to the man and stabbed him with a knife as she cried out looking. The man yelled in pain as he looked to his hands seeing blood on the tiny hands. Suddenly he woke up*

Blade: ungh?

*he looked around as clouds passed by the moonlight then to El who was still asleep. He sighed a bit talking calmly*

Blade: El.. ill never let them hurt you.. never let them attack you and no one will take you from me..

*he blinked seeing a flicker in the forest below. He slowly slid forward not to wake her and peered down seeing small flickers of light and shadows. He then nodded and looked around hearing footsteps*

Blade: here already huh.. ill make them leave..

*he stepped along the cliff side carefully and moved far from Elenel. He kept close circling right above them then dived down and slashed cutting downward clean through a soldier. The other soldier with the light gasped and looked on in terror as the blood shot out a bit on Blade. He looked to him coldly as the soldier fled trying to flee but Blade arched back and rose his scythe with the head pointing at the soldier. It expanded growing longer as he threw it down and cut the soldier into from a distance. He huffed a little as it retracted and looked around*

Blade: two..

*he moved through the woods and closed his eyes. He seemed to be able to see them based on their nervous system seeing the blood in their bodies. He then rushed to the closet group appearing out of the woods next to them and jumped swiping and cutting their heads off cleanly as their body's fell and the torch went out*

Blade: four..

*he looked around then rushed back into the forest. Outside the forest the Captain and the General looked as lights began to be snuffed out left and right at a fast pace. The Captain looked surprised*

Vise: ah... so fast.. our scout unit is being decimated..

*Renus looked on at the speed the lights were going out then shook his head*

Renus: to move this fast.. this isn't human.. could he be like the ancients said?..

*Vise looked as the soldiers seemed to be trembling then looked to Renus*

Vise: sir.. we should call Paige back.. its too dangerous.

*He shook his head*

Renus: Paige is going to be fine. I'm more interested in why the other isn't moving.

*He looked to Renus*

Vise: the soldiers say she can make barriers.

*He blinked*

Renus: barriers?.. strange.. that's why your spike was broken I suppose?

*he nodded*

Vise: that witch is dangerous.. but the brat is even more.. Ive never seen a weapon slice so clean..

*he gripped his arm. Renus then looked to the troops*

Renus: be prepared.. we will need to lure him out. I have a plan.. tell the troops we have this girl and call them back.

*the soldier nodded*

Soldier: yes sir!

*as the soldier rushed in the forest far inside Blade was covered in blood and finished cutting two more into pieces*

Blade: eight... hmm?

*He blinked noticing them moving towards the same direction out of the forest*

Blade: retreating? the last two teams..

*he shivered hearing a soldier yell*

Soldier: we have the girl! lets fall back.

*He clenched his teeth and growled menacingly*

Blade: I wont let you touch her!..

*seemingly quickly before the soldier could come out of the forest he was cut in two. As Blade regained his senses torches lit up all around him and he noticed he was at the edge of the forest opening. The soldiers now gathered in large numbers as Renus looked to him*

Renus: terrifying indeed.. covered in our soldiers blood and those eyes.. he has two different colors.

*Vise growled looking to him*

Vise: thats a demon.. just the look of him is terrifying our soldiers sir.

*Renus moved forward as the soldiers moved aside and looked to Blade*

Renus: your the one who handicapped my captain?

*He rose his scythe up to him as the soldiers looked on and glared to him*

Blade: where is El?..

*he shook his head and smiled a bit*

Renus: we don't have her.. you are too hotheaded to know that this was a trap.

*he growled raising his scythe but blinked seeing a blade slide to his neck. A voice spoke behind him*

???: don't think about it. Your surrounded.

*He closed his eyes and felt the mans presence. His heartbeat was irregular. He nodded*

Blade: your different. Someone strong?

*he scoffed*

???: im more unique than strong.

*Renus looked to him*

Renus: Paige. He moved faster than even you.

*He shook his head*

Paige: only because he is soaked in the blood of our comrades.

*Blade shook his head*

Blade: its more like im a weapon.. the more I bathe in their blood the more faster i get.

*He growled a bit but slid his sword closer to Blades neck*

Paige: then what if its your own blood?

*The two waitied for their movement as Renus looked on*

Renus: Paige, calm yourself.. is that any way to... huh?

*the captain walked out in front of the group next to Renus and growled looking to Blade*

Vise: hey kid! your not special dont think you have a chance against us.

*Renus looked to him*

Renus: captain, hold yourself it wont do us any good to..

*he smirked*

Vise: when I get done with you im going to show your carcass to that lass of yours.. then ill have my way with her next..

*Blade blinked as his pupils seemed to dilate and a memory flashed into his head*

**" stay their kid.. shes mine.. she knows she wants it.. ill have my way weather she likes it or not"**

*he suddenly shivered and growled as Paige looked seeing him glow bright red*

Paige: I-I think you hit a nerve Captain...


*Far on the cliffside Elenel blinked waking up and looked seeing the glow rising up. Her eyes widened a bit as she started to glow blue and closed her eyes.*

*Back at the entrance Blade huffed and growled as Paige blinked shivering then pulled his sword away and looked to his hand*

Paige: t-terrified?... me?.. I cant stop shaking.. this is outrageous!

*Renus blinked*

Renus: Paige! down!

*he blinked as Blade flipped his scythe and swirled it around in a circle cleanly slashing off the surrounding soldiers heads. The hilt grew longer as the range increased. Paige quickly ducked the attack as Renus did. His scythe cut the trees behind him down and the surrounding area as a shock wave hit the air at his speed. As he huffed and stopped his attack Renus rose up and looked surprised at Vise who was headless standing up along with the soldiers. One by one they fell over as the torches were cut in two as well. Paige and Renus were the only ones left surrounded in the blood of their soldiers. Paige moved next to Renus as Blade huffed and and looked to them*

Paige: hmm.. he didn't like that.. not one bit it seems..

*Renus looked to him*

Renus: that blade.. he made it extend to hit every single soldier even behind me.. everyone in our radius is dead and even the trees.

*Paige shook his head*

Paige: its.. not possible..

*Renus looked to him*

Renus: your name was Blade right?

*he looked to him*

Blade: ...that's what I told you..

*He nodded*

Renus: answer me a question will you?

*He growled*

Renus: I don't like questions.. especially from people who keep dogs like that man..

*Paige turned away a bit*

Paige: that dog.. is dead now..

*Renus nodded*

Renus: then tell me.. are you a Vector perhaps?

*Blade blinked*

Blade: ...whats it to you?

*Paige blinked and gasped surprised*

Paige: L-Lord Renus! you cant seriously be thinking he is..

*Renus nodded*

Renus: your a Vector.. but not just any Vector.. the Vector Knight.

*Blade blinked and shook his head the looked to his hands as they started to fade and smiled to them calming down a bit*

Blade: heh.. you got the wrong guy..

*Paige growled and rushed forward preparing to strike*

Paige: you are nothing but trash! Scum like you cannot be the Vector Knight!

*as he moved to slash he blinked falling over and turned to Blade as he started to vanish the blood on him dropped to the ground*

Blade: stop hunting us.. this is your only warning..

*Renus blinked looking on*

Renus: he dissapeared? hmm? the blood stayed though.. how?

*Paige looked around*

Paige: hes not that quick.. that man.. I will get him..

*Renus looked to him*

Renus: no, Paige.. we should head back.. with all this, theirs nothing we can do.. guh!

*he blinked as his cheek was cut. Paige looked to him and moved next to him then blinked seeing his armor was cut on the side*

Paige: what?.. s-sir.. that kid is a monster.. hes got to be hunted down!

*Renus held his cheek and shook his head*

Renus: sending more troops after him will only decrease our morale and kill our troops with senseless death.. we should retreat and report our findings to the king.

*He sighed and nodded*

Paige: yes.. lord Renus.

*Renus looked around and closed his eyes*

Renus: get the death toll reports as well as the names too. Send word to the cleanup team to keep this out of view of the villagers. Bard access to this forest as well. Tell no one the truth but the king.

*he nodded*

Paige: yes.. my lord.

*He looked to the mountainside again then walked away with Paige.*


*at the mountainside Blade looked to Elenel who stared at him deeply. He shivered a bit and kneeled down to her*

Blade: I-Im sorry.. El.. I know you cant forgive me for that but..

*she gripped his hands and pulled him up to her face then surprisingly a bit of a tear came from her eyes. He teared up shivering and cried closing his eyes and hugged her tightly*

Blade: im sorry... I didn't mean to make you worry.. im sorry..

*she closed her eyes seemingly comforting him by patting his back as he cried*

*a crunch was heard in another room as he ran in. She looked to him eating hard pastries*
