Chapter 1: The First Steps.

The Land of Lyre is in constant need of rebuilding, Iris handles the work along with the new goddess Rain. Trouble however is stirring below them on the land of Rulan.

Iris: gyahhh! augh geez its so fustrating most of this could only work if we had Lesiza or those two lousy cats!

(Rain appeared beside her frowning a bit)

Rain: I..im sorry.. if I were a little stronger..

(Iris looked to her and shook her head smiling)

Iris:  oh hush its not your fault. Your still too young to use your full power but beside that its their job to do it.

Rain: I know but with them gone it is my role isnt it?

(Iris sighed)

Iris: I know that but sheesh they should come back already..

(Rain smiled and laughed a bit)

Iris: I guess I just miss them alot too..

(Rain hugged Iris warmly)

Rain: I know Iris, still from what my mother told me Sari was never one to stay still. The first Queen to be so free spirited.

(Iris blinked)

Iris: you mean there were not any like Sari?

Rain: well..

(a man with brown hair and brown wings walked in smiling at the two of them)

???: hey ladies today is the day we go search! What team am I with?

(Rain smiled and looked to him)

Rain: Hello Heit, you seem very high spirited.

(Iris grumbled and looked to him)

Iris: can you calm down?

(he blinked)

Heit: huh oh im sorry.

(she closed her eyes and sighed)

Iris: you should be and what do you mean? wait… AHHH!!

(he pulled back from her confused)

Heit: what? whats wrong?

(she ran her fingers through her hair and groaned)

Iris: I forgot all about the teams!!

???: its alright Iris, the commander thought it out.

(A woman with large black wings and long black hair walked in sighing)

(Rain smiled looking to her)

Rain: oh hello Ulri.

(she looked to Rain and smiled)

Ulri: and hello to you too lady Rain.

(Rain smiled and giggled)

Rain: hehe!

(Iris looked to Ulri)

Iris: so you said Seitz made the teams?

(she nodded)

Ulri: yes miss Iris, he told me to give you this of who he selected. Pretty nifty huh?

(she held out the paper as Iris looked)

Iris: hmm hmm… wait hes taking Xalent too? and you and Auno? Oh and Heit?

(she nodded)

Ulri: The commander has chosen both on an air and land search today.

(Iris growled)

Iris: whaat?! So hes leaving me here to handle all this work? hmm well we cant afford to make a mistake. Still the land unit is… Marcus, Nailah and Xalent.

(she blinked looking to the paper again)

Iris: Marcus AND Nailah?! Those two are too much trouble to leave on their own! They get frisky and lose complete track of time!

(Ulri smiled and nodded)

Ulri: thats why he specifically chose Xalent to watch them.

(Iris nodded and laughed)

Iris: good idea, Xalent is always appearing out of nowhere and dissapearing. They wont get anytime to mess around.

(Rain smiled)

Rain: still their relationship is sort of like Sari and Vains to me.

(Iris nodded)

Iris: hmm maybe Seitz thinks that using their relationship could give them clues.

(Rain shrugged)

Rain: well we all felt the power spikes in the few spots they were.

(Iris nodded)

Iris: yeah I know.. its like hes calling out for us to help him.

(Heit shrugged)

Heit: well still thats just more reason to search.

(Rain nodded)

Rain: and im sure Sari will be there, she felt the jump too I bet.

(Heit and Ulri nodded)

Ulri: ive always wanted to see her.

Iris: then I want you to all promise me you will be back before night.

(they both nodded)

Heit: no worries here its not as if I like the night.

(Ulri smirked)

Ulri: whats wrong? losing your sight already?

(he huffed and smirked)

Heit: I just dont want you to slow us down again like in patrolling at night.

(she growled)

Ulri: what? you slow us down you old hawk!

(he growled)

Heit: O-old hawk? your the one with white feathers!

(she glared t0 him)

Ulri: why you!!

(Iris growled and yelled)

Iris: auugh! will you two shut your beaks for a minute?! sheesh! giving me a headache.

???: I agree.

(Seitz walked in looking to the two of them)

Seitz: fighting will only dull your beaks till they fall off from your harsh talk.

(Ulri covered her mouth)

Ulri: eep! thats not true is it?!

(Heit laughed)

Heit: haha thats just a kids tale.

(Seitz smirked)

Seitz: Oh? remember when the godess told you if you lie your tail feathers will fall off till you tell the truth?

(Ulri blinked and looked to her backside)

Ulri: well its true I do remember them falling off for three days.

(A light brown winged man walked in)

???: thats because you were molting you silly chick.

(Iris looked to him)

Iris: Auno! where have you been and for that matter you two Seitz!

(he blinked)

Seitz: I was meditating I thought they told you.

(she glared to Heit and Ulri then sighed)

Iris: ugh.. squawk boxes..

(Auno smiled and looked to her)

Auno: Dont worry so much Iris, the team is all gathered after all.

(Seitz nodded and moved next to her)

Seitz: Try not to stress yourself my dear.. take a break please and if it gets too tough im sure Rain doesnt mind handling it.

(she looked to him and blushed then nodded slowly turning red)

Iris: I..I know Seitz.. but I do want you to be careful..

(he smiled)

Seitz: I will be. I promise on my heart to you I will return.

(she lowered her head blushing and giggled a bit. )

Iris: mm.. ehehe a-alright..

(Auno blinked and looked to Ulri who nodded as she pulled Heit out of the room. Rain looked to them then smiled and dissapeared)

(the two sat next to eachother as Iris sighed happily.)

Iris: I know it really.. but the thing thats been getting me is these feelings I get… its like an ominous chill down my back..

(he slid his hand in hers and closed his eyes as she laid against him)

Iris: ..thats why you have to keep your promise Seitz.. I do want to find them but I dont want anything to happen to you..I need you.

(he nodded and wrapped his arm around her)

Seitz: I will. I promised to you and I always keep my promises.

(Outside the tent peering in a hole Nailah looked in on them smiling)

Nailah: aww! how sweet! arnt they the cutest couple?

(Marcus looked to her)

Marcus: Nailah.. its not polite to listen in on people and even watch them.

(she looked to him)

Nailah: oh come on Marcus, its rare to hear the two of them so lovey.

(she smirked and moved next to him staring at him with a grin)

Nailah: or is it you want to be lovey with me?

(He blinked and looked away flustered)

Marcus: L-lovey? your not the lovey type Nailah your the pounce type! yahh!

(she jumped ontop of him and laughed looking at him with a long grin)

Nailah: your soo right but you like that about me dont you?

(he looked to her then noticed her pressing her chest against his and turned away)

Marcus: err.. I.. well.. mmm..

(a v0ice above them called out to them)

???: control yourself Nailah, this is no way to act before a mission.

(she blinked then looked to see Xalent looking overhead of them on a wall then glared)

Nailah: eh? oh looks its peeping Xalent. No surprise there, I get a lecture for being my lovey self.

(Xalent looked to her and shook his head)

(she sighed and nodded)

Nailah: I know I know.. geez, party pooper.

(she pulled off of Marcus and looked to him. Marcus got up and looked to Xalent)

(Xalent grinned)

Xalent: now why would you ever think that?

(he dissapeared as fast as he came while Nailah growled and yelled out)

Nailah: im telling Iris and Seitz you listened in on them!!

(Marcus blinked and lowered his tail)

Marcus: umm so did you Nailah.

(she shook her head)

Nailah: no I just wanted to know who we were teamed up with and happened to notice what was going on.

(He closed his eyes and nodded)

Marcus: right..

(the two then walked off to the front of the camp where everyone would be at)
